With less than 4 weeks remaining, the team from Wakesessions Australia are delighted to announce Mackay Airport as its latest Presenting Sponsor.

Wakesessions Australia will be the first time a World Wakeboarding Association, Wake Park World Series (WPWS), has been held in Australia. The event is scheduled to take place as part of the official grand opening of the new GoWake Cable Park in Andergrove Lakes, Mackay from the 15th – 17th of November.

The event will showcase the world’s best wakeboarders as they compete for prize money and worlds series points. It will also incorporate a major music event featuring The Living End as its headline act. The Wakesessions festival is set to be a major drawcard in attracting both interstate and international visitors to the city of Mackay.

Rob Porter, General Manager, Mackay Airport said the airport is proud to come on board as a Presenting Sponsor for what will be a signature event for the region.

“Key events help underpin our growing tourism offer. Wakesessions is a first for Australia and it’s exciting to think it is happening right here in Mackay,” Mr Porter said.
