THE WWA ISSUES SCORING CORRECTION TO WAKE PARK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS

LAKE ALFRED, Fla. (December 16, 2016) – The World Wake Association (WWA) has issued an official correction to the results of the Wake Park World Championships Pro Women Traditional Cable final. While conducting a review, WWA officials discovered a system error that resulted in the incorrect placement of athletes in the final round of competition.

As the sanctioning body of the world’s largest and most prestigious watersports events, the WWA recognizes the importance of maintaining a system with 100% accuracy. Although human error is a variable, the organization and officials have taken every step to recognize and correct this issue and apologize to the athletes, sponsors, organizers, and fans.

A recalculation has confirmed the updated official results below. The complete official results can be viewed HERE.
