RIDERS DESCEND ON LAKE SILVER FOR DAY ONE OF THE 2021 NAUTIQUE WWA WAKEBOARD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS PRESENTED BY GM MARINE

Winter Haven, FL (July 28, 2021) – The award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 once again took to the water and provided world-class wakes for the nation’s top amateur wakeboarders to kick-off the 2021 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships presented by GM Marine. Standouts in each of the ten divisions advanced through challenging semifinal rounds of competition, with each competitor eager for a spot in Friday’s final rounds.

“Watching the best wakeboarders compete for National titles behind the award-winning G23 is something I look forward to every year,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “As wakeboarders of all ages and skill levels will be highlighting their talents and vying for the top spot on the podium, it is exciting to witness their progression and passion for competing.”

The Jr. Men’s division started the day’s wakeboarding action.  Carter McEnroe of California, stood out among the rest of the riders as a clear favorite with his technical spins and impressive inverts.  Clinching her spot in Friday’s final the Amateur Women’s division saw Anna Bubolz, daughter of longtime coach Gordy Bubolz, advance out of her semifinal heat with an impressive toeside frontroll and stylish switch and regular 180s for a score of 71.67.  Closing out the day was the always inspiring Adaptive Standing division.   Blind athlete, Scott Leason impressed the crowd with his multiple 180s behind the Super Air Nautique G23, showing everyone that nothing can stop a person with pure determination.
