Make your plans to attend the 2018 Malibu WWA Rider Experience Central!

The World Wake Association and Malibu Boats have teamed up to bring the Lake of the Ozarks an incredible weekend on the water for the entire family! Amateur wakeboarders and wakesurfers, to first-timers and families are encouraged to come kick off their summer with the ultimate wake weekend at the 2018 Malibu WWA Rider Experience Central in Lake of the Ozarks, MO, June 22-24. Hang with Malibu Pro riders Tarah Mikacich, Jeff Langley,Oli Derome, Lewy Watt, and Parker Siegele for three days of fun and progression!

Kicking off with Freeride Friday, riders of all skill levels get an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the course and receive tips from Malibu’s Pro athletes. WWA staff also conducts a Judges Experience clinic available to all parents and riders providing insight on what WWA officials look for on the water during the upcoming competitions. The WWA Regional Championships and Pro Card Qualifiers are held on Saturday giving amateur riders the chance to compete with riders in their region and aspiring the pro’s the opportunity to earn professional status. Surf Gate Sunday gets everyone back on the water behind Malibu’s Wakesetter Series boats to experience the best wave and surf technology on the water with family and friends.

Each season, amateur riders across the U.S. come together along with top Malibu Pro athletes for a weekend focused on the next generation in wake through family-friendly instruction and competition. From first-time riders to those making the transition to pro, since 2013 the Malibu Rider Experience has hosted thousands of riders, building local and national wake communities while encompassing the full spectrum of the sport and lifestyle like nothing else in the wake today.

The Malibu WWA Rider Experience is a series of regionally placed amateur events around the US for all WWA amateur divisions and Jr. Pro Men’s. Click HERE for more information on each of the days. Each Rider Experience event is open to all riders, however, all riders must compete in their respective WWA Regional Championships to be invited to the 2018 WWA Wakeboard National Championships (Boat Only).

All Amateur Competitors – Seeding for the WWA Wakeboard National Championships will be based on competing in the Malibu WWA Rider Experience Regional Championships. If you are competing in the 2018 WWA Wakeboard National Championships and were 1st in your division in 2017 then you will be top seed.  All other riders will be seeded from the WWA Regional Championships.

Any rider or any age and ability can compete at any and all Malibu WWA Rider Experience Events. Riders will only receive seeding when competing in their region. 

Entry Fee
Amateur Regional Championships – $75 USD
(INCLUDES registration for Freeride Friday, Regional Championships, Surfgate Sunday and Judges Experience)
Amateur Wakesurf Competition – $75 USD
(INCLUDES registration for Freeride Friday, Regional Championships, Surfgate Sunday and Judges Experience)
Jr. Pro Men – $150 USD
(INCLUDES registration for Freeride Friday, Regional Championships, Surfgate Sunday and Judges Experience)
Pro Card Qualifier – $150 USD
(INCLUDES registration for Freeride Friday, Regional Championships, Surfgate Sunday and Judges Experience)
Wakesurf Experience – $25.00 USD
Freeride Friday – $25.00 USD
Judges Experience – $25.00 USD

All riders competing in the Regional Championships will need a WWA Membership to compete. Click here to purchase a membership online.
