Lake Alfred, FL (April 22, 2014) – Looking to improve your total wakeboarding experience? Come to the Malibu Boats WWA Rider Experience and learn from Malibu pro team riders and WWA officials in Orlando, FL on May 10-12, 2013. Freedom Wake Park will show off its perfect conditions for the most unique wakeboard event around. The Malibu WWA Rider Experience is more than a wakeboard contest; it’s a fun-filled weekend of wake education, wakesurfing, and wakeboarding all wrapped into one event.

Built for pumping out a clean and giant wake, the Malibu WAKESETTER 22 MXZ will be the official towboat for the weekend. Freeride Fridays will kick off the Malibu WWA Rider Experience, as Malibu pro team riders get out on the water with local amateur riders and show them the ropes.

Next up, WWA Officials and Malibu pro team riders take competitors and non-competitors through the Judge’s Experience and Rider Development; programs specifically designed to advance their riding on and off of the water. Judge’s Experience will enlighten riders on what the judges are looking for in a contest pass, while the Rider Development will walk riders through the branding aspects of social networking do’s and don’ts.

Ever wanted to own a championship title versus the best riders in your region? Now you have your chance. In the WWA Wakeboard Regional Championships, you’ll be able to compete against age-appropriate riders in an opportunity to take the title. Seeding for the WWA Wakeboard US National Championships is based off of the Regionals, so you’ll be able to come into Nationals as the top dog.

In case you haven’t heard, SURF GATE by Malibu is a revolutionary innovation that allows for wakesurfing long, glassy waves on either side of an evenly weighted boat. On Sunday, riders and non-competing attendees will be able to get out behind the Malibu WAKESETTER 22 MXZ and try out SURF GATE for themselves.
