Don’t Forget To Tune Into NBC Sports for the Nautique WWA U.S. Wakeboard National Championships

LAKE ALFRED, Fla. (October 14, 2016) – Don’t forget the 2016 Nautique WWA U.S. Wakeboard National Championships presented by Rockstar Energy is set to air on NBC Sports Network Sunday, October 16^th at 3:30 pm ET. The show will feature highlights from the 2016 event in Acworth, Georgia with exciting performances behind the four-time Wakeboard Boat of the Year, The Super Air Nautique G23. Standouts include wake-to-wake double flips by Nautique team rider Mike Dowdy along with Australian up-and-comer Tony Iaconni’s spectacular run, which consisted of a front blind mobe that propelled him to the win in the Men’s Pro Finals.

As the largest wakeboarding event in North America, the Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships served as the fourth stop of the 2016 Nautique Wake Series, which gives riders the platform to perform at the highest level, pushing the sport’s progression behind the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 each season. The highly competitive event took place on the world-class water at the Dallas Landing Park on Lake Allatoona and marked the fourth round of the 2016 WWA Wakeboard World Series.

Along with showcasing Iaconni’s magnificent winning run, NBC Sports will feature action from the star-studded Pro Women’s division, led by fellow Australian Amber Wing, who emerged victorious.  In the Pro Wakeskate division, Brian Grubb nailed his run to come out on top, while Elliot Digney landed the first-ever double flip in Jr. Pro Men’s competition behind the industry-leading Super Air Nautique G23.
