Central Region Riders Find Success in Colorado at Malibu WWA Rider Experience

Lake Alfred, Florida (June 21, 2015) – The WWA Malibu Rider Experience Central kicked off this past weekend at George’s Lake in Longmont, Colorado. On a privately owned lake overlooking the Rocky mountains, the weekend gave us great weather and even better riding. Along with the weather, the water conditions were fantastic, giving us the best we have had at any event all year.

Freeride Friday was stacked with some of the top Malibu team riders who spent their day hanging out with different riders. Dallas Friday, Chad Sharpe, Brian Grubb, Jeff Langley, and Massi Piffaretti traveled to the central region to give riders the full experience for the weekend. The pros encouraged the riders to throw down their contest runs and gave helpful hints on how to improve in specific areas behind Malibu’s 22VLX. Tommy’s supplied the WWA Malibu Rider Experience Central with the top models Malibu has to offer.

For the 3rd stop of the WWA Malibu Rider Experience, we made our way to the Central Region. Open to riders from Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming. Malibu Boats has one of the best wakesurf wakes out there. SurfGate Sunday wrapped up the weekend. Ronix and CWB provided all styles of wakesurfers for demo from skim style to surf style boards and everything in between. The central region brought out a nice crowd to enjoy the final day of the WWA Malibu Rider Experience Central in the beautiful state of Colorado. Seeing families and friends relaxing and hanging out on the lake together is always a perfect ending to a wakeboarding filled weekend.

Thanks to our sponsors, Malibu, Rockstar, Billabong, CWB, Ronix, and Tommy’s the weekend event was a success. The WWA Malibu Malibu Rider Experience heads to Minneapolis, Minnesota to give the riders of the East region their shot at earning an invite to the WWA National Championships in their respective region.
