West Coast Riders Hit the Water for the Nautique Pro Am Presented by Rockstar

Lake Alfred, Fla. (June, 11, 2015) – The third stop of the Nautique Wake Series kicked off on Thursday at the Nautique Pro Am presented by Rockstar Energy at Mossdale Quarry Lakes in Lathrop, California. To start the day amateur riders as young as seven years old competed in front of their friends, family and some of their favorite Pro riders behind the award-winning G-Series boats. The Jr. Pro Men’s division saw nearly perfect conditions on the water with the world’s best wake launching them to impressive performances behind the Super Air Nautique G23. The top two riders from each heat will move into tomorrow’s semifinal round. Mac Schramm posted the highest score of the day with an 89.00 to take Heat #2. Also winning quarterfinal heats were James Loisel, Lewy Watt, Jake Pelot and Nic Rapa.

I’m really excited to be competing in my hometown behind my favorite boat,” said Nautique Team rider Josh Twelker. “Watching the amateurs compete today and having so much fun brought back a lot of great memories from when I first started riding. The Lakes at Mossdale Quarry are amazing and it’s a great setting to showcase just how good the Nautique G-Series boats really are. I can’t wait to get out there.”

Seven-year-old Sydney Litgens is the youngest Nautique Pro Am competitor among riders of all ages and skill levels who will compete throughout the weekend. The West Coast riders battled it out in front of hometown crowds with Francisco Cabezas, Rex LaVerne, Chad Lowe and Mike Powell all taking heat wins in their respective divisions. The LaVerne family was all over the lake with three family members competing this weekend. In the Adaptive Sitboarding division, Connor Pogetto went huge scoring 83.33 and California native Noah Belmont dominated the wakeskate division behind the Super Air Nautique G21.
