As the new year unfolds before us let’s take a step back into the last 30 years of wake with the man who has been there since the very beginning. Dedicating his life to the progression of watersports Shannon Starling’s drive continued past his first contest win and evolved into various competitive standards, worldwide events, and a relentless commitment to getting more people on the water.
Continuing to uphold his passion for wake to this very day, Starling reflects back on his experiences as a competitor, family man, board member, executive director, and ensuring competitions still exist today.
